Jamie Pflughoeft of Cowbelly Pet Photography (creator of this resource and the Beautiful Beasties book)
Book a personalized one-on-one mentoring session with career pet photographer Jamie Pflughoeft during her 2014 U.S. Road Trip. Spaces will be extremely limited and will be booked in advance via Jamie’s online booking system (see below). Jamie currently has double the photographers interested than she has space for, so these will go fast. Payment will be required in full at the time of booking to hold your space on Jamie’s travel calendar.
Price: $250 for a 2-hour in-person mentoring session
Choose from one of three options for your 2-hour session:
- Portfolio Review: You get together at a wifi-enabled cafe in one of Jamie’s itinerary cities and review the photos in your online portfolio/gallery on her laptop. Jamie helps you cull down to the very best shots, and explains what images need to be cut and why, what your strengths and natural style are, and what you can do to improve your work both from a technical shooting aspect and a photo editing aspect.
- Shooting on Location. You meet Jamie at a local park in one of her itinerary cities and photograph a dog (that you have procured), and Jamie teaches you her techniques and watches you work and shows you the best settings to use on your camera, how best to work with the dog, how to understand and communicate body language and what to look for in your location in terms of visually interesting, uncluttered and safe environments to shoot in.
- Business. You meet at a coffee shop in one of Jamie’s itinerary cities and talk about business, which can include marketing, pricing, workflow, sales, or anything specific you need help with. If you have read her Beautiful Beasties book or marketing and pricing guides and have tons of questions, this would be the perfect session for you! This is also perfect for those who have very specific needs in terms of information (unique situations, challenges/information you don’t feel comfortable sharing on a forum, etc).
Any of these sessions may be audio-recorded so you can review them later.
If you need more time than just two hours, you can purchase two or three mentoring sessions on the same day.
2 Mentoring Sessions (4 hours) = $500
3 Mentoring Sessions* (6 hours) = $750
*The maximum number of sessions that can be purchased by an individual.
If you have specific questions you can contact Jamie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
